Tomorrow night whats best for us?
Burnley rock bottom have 3 games in hand on us but are 11 points away
Watford once this game is played will have the same games played as us but are currently 8 points behind us.
Burnley's next 4 games
Watford (h)
Arsenal (a)
Manure (h)
Liverpool (h)
Watford's next 4
Burnley (a)
Norwich (h)
West Ham (a)
Brighton (h)
Looking at Burnelys games realistically if they got 3-4 points they would take that, compared to Watford they would like to think they could win 2 of those and a draw at least out of either Hammers or BHA
Our three games coming up are newcastle, villa & everton - 5 points wouldnt be over estimated so maybe overall a draw tomorrow night wouldnt be a bad result for us or maybe a Burnley win.
How do you see it?
he got it!!
Welcome back WOY
ex palace manager is touted for the job
Also on the plus side its the 25th of Jan so any new manager probably wont be in a position to sign any new player that he feels Watford need to get out of the relegation zone
Good news for us
Anyone taking that job knows that if they go down he will be sacked so needs to front load the payments, a million a month would be my fee on the understanding that if PL status is secured another 5 million will paid as a bonus payment. And then negotiate a new contract in June. And to protect from an early sacking a 9 million payout clause,
So no matter what happens the next manager would be getting 9 million minimum, a paultry sum of money when you think of the money that Clubs get from the PL season.
It'll be yet another Watford manager for this one!!!!
Ranieri gone after 14 games....
Revolving door company installing at Vicarage Road
Trouble is our game in hand is v Liverpool at Anfield. Still, 3 points on Saturday v Barcodes could see us push up to 12th!
Lots of pundits etc. seem to have overlooked we have a game in hand on Brentford, Southampton and Crystal Palace - if we win it we go ahead of those teams on merit.
We're also just 1 point behind Villa on the same number of games.
Nobody has those teams as being remotely in a relegation battle 🙂
Well with this game off
and as much as i hate chelski, Brighton to lose tonight would be great for us, something we can focus on and look up the table rather than backwards. If brighton lose they would then be a realistic team to set our sights on and try to overtake.
Which you would think its up to the EFL now to grab the bull by the horns and re-issue the parameters under which a game can be postponed going forward.
Like what happened last sunday arsenal/spurs was a bloody joke (1 covid case and arsenal get the game postponed???), as robbie keane said on sunday on sky covid will be with us for a while certainly so players testing positive is going to be an issue for all clubs for the rest of the season.
just fits nicely for Dyche after selling his striker and the other is injured so why wouldnt he chance his arm and see can he, buy a replacement or get his player back fit.
Burnley v Watford now postponed.
Cannot wait to hear these managers complaining about player welfare when these games have to be played.
Call them off now when it suits them, moan later on when it does not.
Couldn't give a toss about the teams below us because we're fkn SAFE already!!
I do keep saying but some worry too much and take a day off their lives every time they think this....
I think game will be off, but if they do make them play then a draw is always the best result as it reduces the points given out below us to 2 instead of 3.
It's worth pointing out that if we beat Newcastle we are all but safe so it won't matter. Looking at the projections for the bottom 4 and their current points per game, the safety bar will be 30 points this season and a win v Barcodes leaves us on 25 points with 17 games to play (including Norwich at ER), ahead of Brentford, Southampton and Crystal Palace as well as all the bottom 5.
Game could be off dyche says application pit in to have game called of
Draw for me too.
A nice 0-0 would do me
and Chelski to smash Brighton
