To me it just seems to be a lack of professionalism that runs through the club.
This from the board & management team down to the players.
Promotion has been there for the taking on several occasions and I still find it baffling that once again they gambled by sitting on their hands.
What did our rivals do?
Ah well, all water on the bridge now.
The 'good' news is that the play-offs are secured.
The other news is not that good, Rothwell slight tweak means he's out for the next 3 weeks. The way we underestimate injuries, his season is probably over.
Not sure about Pascal (looks a bad one).
Farke from being 100% sure of promotion, now says we still have a great chance.
He expected Luton to be difficult, certainly at their place and with them taking the lead.
Would have liked us to take the lead, is happy with the point but would have prefered the win! No shxt!!!
Would be very surprised if either Burnley or Sheffield slip-up.
So Playoffs it will be I'm afraid, would we finally break our rotten spell?
Should we fail again & looking at the financial state we're in, the championship will probably be our home for a long time.
Yes they lost against Oxford (we still have to play them there), a bit like we lost at struggling Pompey, furthermore yesterday at Luton we could only draw against a bottom 3 club and couldn't even beat lowly Swans at home.
Just the one win in six doesn't install much confidence, so I do hope I'm proven totally wrong.
So the biggest questions remains if will they slip up even more than us?
Also Blunderland aren't fully out of the reckoning either.
Like I said before, the two teams in front of us aren't as good as those last year.
The fact that they have to play each other is a bonus which could prove to be vital.
Every team is jittery at the moment, it's not just Leeds. The other clubs in the mix are all aware of the ramifications of not getting promotion, and for the teams at the bottom, every game is a cup game as they strive to avoid relegation. As with every other season, the course of true love doesn't run smoothly. It's all about picking ourselves up and putting in the best we can in the next performance. We've the players to do that. And those who complain about Farke saying he's 100% convinced we will get promoted, well they would be the first voices hounding him if he said promotion shouldn't be taken for granted. There's still six fixtures to go - more than enough to win this league. On the Leeds.
Every team in the top six are jittery, I'll certainly give you that.
I would even argue that the ramifications for us in failing to get promotion would be far greater to LUFC than most others.
Facts are that from the last 6 games we picked up just 7 pts!
Burnley took 16 pts & the Blunts 13 pts. The second worst team in the top six, Bristol, won 11pts.
So clearly the jitters have, once again, struck hardest with us,
And it's not like that we've not seen this before.
To make it clear, I'm not blaming Farke or pointing the finger at him for claiming he's 100% sure of getting promotion. Even not when he says it's down to a very good chance of promotion, just a game later. But I would prefer it if he'd let results and perfomances do the talking.
The same goes for players talking about 8 (now 6) or whatever number of Cup-Finals to go.
And I do take some issue with him saying pointless/obvious things like, it's a good point (at Luton) but I would have prefered us to score first and win.
Oh and perhaps you've have noticed it, the jitters have firmly hit me too (it started a few weeks ago).
You're also spot on when you say that true love doesn't run smoothly, with Leeds United it never does. It's rather more often than not a case of "love hurts".😉
Totally inept performance, devoid of any ideas going forward. All those Leeds fans who were crying for Gnonto to take the number 10 shirt, well there was your answer today, completely ineffective and a waste of a shirt. I'm not blaming Gnonto, it's not his natural position. With the amount of defenders on the bench, surely it would have made more sense playing Firpo at 10, which is where he plays for the Dominican Republic and then bring on Gnonto/Ramazani for Soloman/James.
Current form suggests that we are destined again next season for the Championship, whether that will be under Farke's stewardship remains to be seen!
Agreed. That one was on us - the clamour for Gnonto at 10 fell flat. We got sucked into a pathetic game of Championship head tennis and deserved not to win.
And if we do get chances we can't afford to feck them up like that.
Other Managers must have realised we're cooked here - just go direct and play basic Champ footy, we can't cope
Good team, apart from Darlow who hopefully won't have much to do. I've been begging Farke to play Gnonto in the number 10 spot and that could well make the difference. Great to see FIrpo back, he's been badly missed. And Tanake and Ampadu makes our best CM. Onwards to bootin Luton.
I'll always back Gruev away from home to tire out the home side then bring Rothwell on when fatigue works in his favour. At QPR Rothwell was sub par because QPR worked hard in the first half to shut him down - he shouldn't start IMHO, but hey ho Farke stands or falls on these decisions now.
Gnonto v Aaronson might be the same thing but I'm not precious either way
I think we all know we have to win so it's backs to the wall.... whoever wears the shirt
Good work Sir - the website may be obstructive but you keep getting the MDT out there.
TC is right - been an iffy run after the smooth run Smurf took us on, but we're still standing and if you're still on duty come May we'll probably be in the Prem.
We need this and the team have to do it tomorrow or we're in big bother
Quality MDT Mouseman and good luck with your prolonged run.... it's been very iffy so far but at least you haven't lost!!
This is against my hometown club and in any other game Luton play, I want them to win.... tomorrow I only want us to win by 6 instead of the usual 10.
I've been offered a ticket by 2 different sources in the Luton ends.... however, I'm watching the boy play his last couple of games before he goes to the USA as I won't get much chance to see him play again ðŸ˜
This'll be a tricky fixture on a very tight ground and our FBs and wingers will be very narrow....that won't bode well with some! 🙈🤣😜🙈
I'd play Ramazani instead of Solomon and Gnonto instead of Aaronson and we'll have far too much for Luton who will only be a danger from set pieces....
I'm going for a positive 2-0 victory with a solid and calming performance from Darlow and a brace from Piroe....

Well another crap under par performance am truly fecked off
Woeful cannot beat the bottom clubs then best stay in Championship. Another weekend ruined!
It's the hope that kills you....
Dan James moment of magic sorely needed - prolonging the drama...
And that first 15 mins is the reason we'll lose in the playoffs.
We can't score the gilt edge chances
Gnonto bundled off the ball and not chasing back like Aaronson would.
Tanaka not clearing when he had the ball - head in the clouds
Firpo can't defend.

Rothwell not in the squad!
Is he injured?
He's quality and hope he hasn't thrown a tantrum cause he's not starting....he should be though
I think Farke will go with Ampadu and Gruev today and play it safe ....hope not as Rothwell and Tanaka are quality and far more creative.
Firpo will be back on a narrow pitch....
I'd play Ramazani and Gnonto instead of Aaronson and Solomon but Farke will unfortunately play his favourites....
Surely if we're playing well we keep our strongest team and if we're not we change it to give our QUALITY squad a game....
Anything but a win will leave Farke under pressure today against my very poor quality hometown club....
The landlord of my local a Leeds fan has got himself invited to this game as a guest of hineken executive box
Wouldn't have thought so as who would drop out of the squad?
Bamford is fit and training well apparently and I'm sure would be in ahead of Gray?
Young grey not in u21 team tonight
Maybe see him in tomorrow squad
We have to win, end of!

It’s a must win game for both teams they desperately need pints for survival and we desperately need them to be auto promoted
