Poveda called up by Colombia for our next 3 games .... we don't have to let him go as they're only friendlys. It shows we don't really want him and he'll probably leave in January....
This is actually good for him and Leeds both. He has chance to play 2 to 3 games in a short period of time and able to show flashes of brilliant play which would allow us to sell him in January. It also opens a bench spot for Joseph, Bates, McGurk, Gyabi or another youngster.
I had high hopes for him,he looked really sharp this pre season but he has Rutter,James & Jimmy in great form ahead of him so hard to see him getting many minutes.
It could work out good for us for him to get some minutes in him,he's only played an odd cameo off the bench so could benefit from a few run outs for Colombia
He, Niall, much like Caprile, Bogusz, Dremah choose to leave as they did not see a development pathway into our first team line-up.
Bates, Gyabi, Cresswell, Hjelde, Greenwood, Gelthardt will all most likely follow. They all need to be playing first team football in league 1, 2 or in Scotland.
yeh - not what Wales needed. Rodon instrumental in forcing the goal. Ampadu put himself about in midfield, Dan James came on but couldn't fashion a breakthrough.
As much as I want England to win the Euros, these group games are fkn awful.... I'll be flicking backwards and forwards to the snook that I've got a bet on.
I'd never have done that all those years ago....
The team selection tonight against the mighty Malta is fkn unbelievable and full of defenders!
Why not go with just TWO defenders and PROPER wingers instead of full backs!? Malta won't get over the halfway line!
And no point in saying that the team needs to play the usual formation to get used to our style of play cause that goes out of the window when playing teams like this!
My boy is literally playing against a better standard of opposition tomorrow at Telford.... anybody go to Telford v Leeds in the 80s in the FA Cup when the game was changed to be played at WBA? Really snowy day and we were lucky to get through....
Yeah Baird got both as I watched highlights on YouTube last night.... I went to the game but literally can't remember anything about it even after watching the goals. I can usually remember something about most games I've been to....
I've even told others that the game was played at Birmingham!!
Good to see you back BB.... is it pure coincidence that you haven't been onboard whilst the egg chasing tournament is being played?
A sport where the final whistle brings on games of soggy biscuit, defrocking each other and running naked around the clubhouse and drinking concoctions of vomit in sandwiches?
Rugby has always had "penaties" and "fines" to endure.
On a trip to Beglium me and a few other guys were fined 5 Euros for having the audacity of getting a coffee in the morning instead of lager/Guinness!! The sneak even had photographic evidence. Rules were simple on the tour - only alcohol to be drunk but her after a day or so, some needed water ot a coffee/tea.
As for running naked in the clubhouse, never seen it in over 40 years. Maybe it is what amateur footballers do?
Would love to share more but what goes on in a club, stays in the club
Haha brave man Mouseman before the English get called arrogant again!
The fact of the matter is that we should do well in football.... don't know enough about the rugby country politics but I suppose it's similar?
With the resources we have we SHOULD do better than the rest of the UK and Ireland.
I don't go round thinking that England should win every tournament we enter because history has proved us wrong on EVERY occasion bar 1966....
What I do think is that we should get through to the quarter finals MINIMUM of every tournament we enter.... is that arrogant thinking we should reach the last 8 of a tournament when we're always world ranked higher than 8th in every tournament?
We do flatter to deceive and with world class players like Walker, Stones, Bellingham, Foden, Saka, Kane we SHOULD do better!
Very hurtful for us poor English 🙈🤔😲😜
It's like the rest of Yorkshire hating us because we're the biggest club....
Bored, bored, bored, bored, bored.... lucky England are playing in the cricket as I've had enough of watching the likes of Andorra v Timbuktu.
Just had a look and we've got ANOTHER fkn international break in 4wks time!!
Instead of watching Leeds play we can watch England have 75% possession by passing sideways across the halfway line against the mighty Malta and North fkn Macedonia!! 🤬🤬🤬🤬
75% possession to England in both games with 5yd passes along the backline near the halfway line.... sail through the group stages and get knocked out in the proper tournament in the quarters/semi's.
Booooring.... Hoddle in
I'll be in Reffen Copenhagen on Friday in the boiling sun for a few beers if you're around Danish? 🌞🍻
Ya growing up and into my 20's / 30's we knew we were limited with the pool of players we had but at least they gave it a go, some still slate Big Jack (rip) over his "hoofball" tactic but hey it worked for him and those players, could they have played more on the ground? i think so but Jack had his way and as everyone knows its a results based business and tbf to Jack HE GOT RESULTS.
With SK i just dont see improvement, in the space of 8-9 years we have gone from comfortably beating Gibraltar 7-0 (3 nil up after 20mins) to winning against the same opposition 3-0 but 0-0 at HT and us scoring our third in the 93rd min. Thats not improvement ROI inside the top 50 in the world rankings against a team outside the top 200, leave it out.
But to top it all the media over here arent slating SK in fact some are still blaming John Delaney (i know he didnt exactly cover himself in glory) but the grass roots facilities really did improve all across the country not just in Dublin, but he gets no credit for that. The facilities that JD sanctioned money for are / were being used to develop this current crop of internationals, so without JD where would we be? i shudder to think.
Yes we punched above our weight for years but now we have gotten soft, people saying we cant compete with the bigger countries (thats b*ll*x) look at Croatia ffs thier population is less than 4 million people and they are inside the top 10 in world rankings.
SK has to go and the FAI need to bring back someone like Denis O Brien to pump proper money into the game, continue with Club development playing/building facilities but more importantly help the Domestic League (both divisions) to grow, help them compete in Europe win games break into the Europa League's and Conference Leagues group stages for a start and then in 10 years time have a few clubs trying to make it into the CL group stages. the age old saying money goes to money isnt a fairytale its true, invest properly in the right way and that investment will pay for itself in years to come.
Also he consistently overlooks Ryan Manning 15 goal involvement from left back in the championship, surely he is good enough for a team that struggles to create.
Jeff Hendrick is the new glen whela, gets a squad position even though he's done nothing in 5 years.
It's painfully obvious SK isn't up to the job,no top manager will touch us,I'd take a punt on Lee Carsley as manager and get Brian kerr involved somewhere in the FAI. ..
We might get 6 or 7 points from this qualifying campaign,it's not good enough.sack him now and start over..
I haven't watched a game in years Glory,it's sh1te to watch and predictable that we are going to lose,I don't know how anyone justifies paying for an overpriced ticket to go to the Aviva ..
How the fk did we get relegated with that many internationals in the squad!?
Before they came to us Koch and Llorente were regulars in the Germany and Spain squad but soon got them out of those when they realised we couldn't defend!! 🙈🤣
These windows for internationals are terrible. Alot pointless games where only some players give a sh1t.
The Welsh lads doing well
Thank God we are back next weekend when real football starts!!!!!!!!!!!
Joseph came off the bench & scored the winner for Spain u21 v Scotland
Ao got 20 minutes v China in a 7-0 win
Aarsonson played 70 mins v Canada
Wobber played 90 mins for Austria.
Crew & Darlow unused subs for Taffs,Ampadu & Rodon played 90mins. Crew got moved to u21 squad for next Wales game.
Firpo played as a Striker for DR
Poveda called up by Colombia for our next 3 games .... we don't have to let him go as they're only friendlys. It shows we don't really want him and he'll probably leave in January....
Thank God they are over until March.
Now to get back to proper football
Niall Huggins on the bench for Wales against Turkey tonight. Maybe a left back we should've kept....
...on a brighter note, earlier today Gnonto scored two for Italy's U21 against Ireland.
International weeks are booring
I'm watching the Wales game on S4C
Actually means something and features 3 Leeds players.
As much as I want England to win the Euros, these group games are fkn awful.... I'll be flicking backwards and forwards to the snook that I've got a bet on.

Boring, boring international football....
90 minutes and assist to the second goal for Kamara in Finland's 4-0 victory over Northern Ireland.
Well I for one am looking forward to the away trip to San Marino.
I hate these international breaks. Just Mickey Mouse football being played. I cannot wait til Rotherham on 24th!!!!!!!
All in team bonding spirit of course.... 😲🤔😲🤔
Thank God they are over so we can concentrate on REAL football!
Not a single pundit mentioned about the Rice mistake for the Italy goal.... it was an easy cut out and he went with his wrong foot.
If that was Kalvin, Henderson or Maguire, they'd have been slaughtered!!
I see England rugby team is tha last man standing of the four nations or rather 3 nations and a principality
English u21 lost to Ukrainian u21 creswell scored to make it 2-2! But they came back with a stoppage time goal 3-2
Bored, bored, bored, bored, bored.... lucky England are playing in the cricket as I've had enough of watching the likes of Andorra v Timbuktu.

Kamara starting for Finland in a couple of minutes.
Rodon got a full 90 v South Korea - nearly got the winner late with a header
Gruev delivered a horror show for Bulgaria against Iraq. A real stinker. Playing as a CB he costed the opposition a peach of a goal.
Kamara put in a decent 25-minute performance in Finland's 1-0 win over Kazakhstan.
0-0 v Ukraine....
1-1 v Scotland....

Evan Furguson injured for Ireland's games v France & Holland (hopefully S. Kenneys last games) ..
I hate these breaks! I think I may only watach Wales, Finland and Bulgaria games if they are on TV.
Cannot even be bothered about England
Tonight it's Norway U21 v France U21.
Leeds have 2 starters in the game - Klaasen and Hjelde.
Meslier on the bench for France......
Earlier Gnonto did the business for Italy U21 scoring in a 3-2 win over Switzerland
Cresswell an unused sub again for England U21
How many more chances will Stephen Kenny get for ROI? He needs sacking ASAP ..
God are these a waste of time? I cannot even be bothered to watch. Will find a good drama or film and enjoy a glass of wine
Gnonto in Senior and U21 squad for Italy. TThis means he will be playin until July 8th!!
WTF he is not a horse that will be put down.
Will need at least 2 weeks off so not available til early August
