Day: Saturday
Date: 23.12.2023
Time: 12:30 p.m.
Venue: Elland Road
Leeds Form: D, W, W, W, L, D
Ipswich Form: L, W, W, W, W, D
Leeds most dangerous player: Summerville & Rutter
Ipswich most dangerous player: Conor Chaplin & Nathan Broadhead + Leif Davis
Head to head: 83 matches, Leeds won 34, Ipswich won 29 & draws are 21.
This is a game where we can not afford to concede fouls around the box or corners as ipswich has at least 5 players that are dangerous at set pieces. The Ipswich midfielder are probably the most dangerous in the league with 26 goals coming from this position. Both left back and right back are equally dangerous as they create and average of 6 chances a game from crosses. They have mobile giant at CB (6'4 - plays like he still playing AFL in Australia). The side is organised and very team oriented.
This game is the make or break for both of us as we can close the gap with a win also push pressure on them as they have league leaders straight after us. Meanwhile a less for us will see Southampton possibly jump us on the table.
Possible Starting Side:
Meslier
ArchieG, Rondon, Struijk, Spence
Ampadu, Kamara
James, Summerville
Pireo
Rutter
I wrote the line-up this way to reflex on how narrwe play.
Four goals and a clean sheet.
Gray, Kamara, Spence outstanding the rest very good.
And yes...just please beat Preston Bell Ends.
Some great performances today. Archie is such a great player, he is going to be a top top level player. I don't think he lost possession once today. Fantastic.
Good atmosphere too for an early kick off.
Now please beat Preston.
Everybody played his part in a fantastic team performance coupled with several brilliant individual performances.
CB's giving nothing away, both "makeshift" full-backs never relenting and ridiculously good ballers. Ampadu majestic with an outstanding Kamara a close second.
Summerville simply is unplayable.
In general, a lot of pluses today, -'s → some of Meslier's kicking was off and PB looks so rusty.
He needs plenty of games to get anywhere matchfitness.
We now need to keep our feet firmly on the ground.
In the first half Ipswich showed they're a good team, and perhaps for the first time this season we got the rub of the green a few times. Not complaining and I could get used to that.
MOT
That was a fantastic effort.
They have Leicester twice in their next 6......
Southampton remain a big threat for me.
Very good, Leeds.
Feel sorry for Davis, but that's Leif.
MOT!
Dear Santa
For Christmas, I'd like four white tractors please.
Should be a good game.
Ipswich won't play a back 10 and clog all our offensive players.
They are likely to score.
We'll not have proper full backs again.
Can see a few on Santa's naughty list with yellows maybe a red.
All that said, three nil Leeds, rutter with shooting boots on and a late bambi penalty.
Ans santa to empty his sack in lutv studio.
Happy Christmas one and all

Guys - I will not be about until 3rd Jan. Just letting you all know so no one gets concerned. Wishing Everyone a Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year
Good luck Dan, could be another 4-3
Quality MDT and good luck for a prolonged run....
I'm going for a positive 1-0 victory with Piroe notching.... we simply have better players and a better squad.
We have to win this although I still think Ipswich will have a bad run....
What is your job within football Dan?
good luck Dan.
It's definitely more of a must win for us,Ipswich would be happy with a draw I think.
I agree with you we definitely need to play wider,I would be tempted to rest Rutter or Piroe and play Summerville at 10 and play Gnonto & James on the wings and tell them to stay wide with full backs making underlapping/overlapping runs.
It's probably not the game to experiment in but it could be a plan B if we are struggling to break Ipswich down.
Nice and early Daniel, I like it.
Lose this and we won't get top 2, win it and we probably won't either.
Leeds Leeds leeds
Let's see the unbeaten run continue.
I believe still and we'll have a plan (also a week off to prepare...)
Leeds 3 - 2 Ipswich
Good Luck Daniel...........................MOT
